WBJEE 2014 ENTRANCE EXAM
West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE) 2014 entrance exam will be conducted for the candidates interested and eligible to study various disciplines of engineering at undergraduate level. In order to appear for WBJEE entrance exam for the academic year 2014-15 the candidate must follow the eligibility bracket as only those candidates who are falling in the eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear for the exam and further will be granted admission on the merit level basis. WBJEE is a state level engineering exam conducted on behalf of every engineering college present in the state of west Bengal.
Following are the WBJEE 2014 eligibility criteria:
• The applicant who has attained the age of 17 years by the end of December 2013 is eligible to apply for exam.
• There is no provision of upper age limit however, in the case of marine engineering course the candidates interested should not be more than 25 years
• The candidates applying for courses other than B.Pharma, B.Arch and Marine engineering must have cleared the class XIIth or any equivalent exam with minimum of 45% marks (General category) and minimum of 40% marks (SC,ST, PWD category candidates)
• For the candidates interested in pursuing marine engineering must score minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths with 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th level.
WBJEE 2014 Exam Pattern
The WBJEE authorities have been following the same exam pattern from past few years with minor changes, here and there and knowing the exam pattern is like an added advantage to the candidates, as they do not have to adapt to the exam pattern there and then, as they are in accordance with it in advance.
• The WBJEE 2014 entrance exam will have three papers of Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects and each having three categories.
• Category 1 will have 60 questions from Maths, 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry.
• Category 2 will have 15 questions from Maths, 10 questions each from Physics and Chemistry
• Category 3 will have 5 questions each in Maths, Chemistry and Physics section.
